With my 100 bombs burning a hole in my pocket I made the decision to start mining the coast line North from North Space Base heading West.  The reason behind this choice was predominantly to avoid any nasty beasts as I am not much of a hunter.  I have long ago sold what little armour and weaponry I posessed (apart from a few pieces I believe will be of use in the future).  I arrived at North Space Base feeling a sense of adventure and optimism.  I ran Ne until I hit the Coast and dropped a bomb.  I continued running along the Coast whilst expectantly watching my finder.  The result was... No resource found!  I had 3 such messages before hitting my first find which was a small lyst worth 4.37 ped.  Reasonable I thought. 24 bombs later I had mined 26 ped worth of resources according to their tt value.  At this point of the trip I was feeling good.  Things were going well.  However, it wasn’t long before I came upon a swarm of mobs.  I had by this point made it around the peninsula and was heading South along the Coastline.  Upon seeing the swarm I decided to swim over to the other shoreline (W) and continue mining there.  After getting halfway across I saw awaiting me even more mobs.  I took the decision to swim S and then continue running the original coastline I was on.

After the 100 bomb run was over I had found the following resources:

5437 Lyst        54.37 ped
84 Blausarium    3.36 ped
7 Cumbriz        1.05 ped
10 Erdorium      4.00 ped
14 Caldorite     2.38 ped

Total:           65.16 ped

The decay incurred was:  Woops I tt’d the ore mining equipment in preperation for my enmatter run and didn’t take note of the decay!  Let’s have a rough estimate of 2ped.

Total Loss this run (100ped - 2 ped decay - 65.16 tt return of resources) = 33.84 Loss before markup.

Not the best mining run in the world.  The highest find I got was a moderate Lysterium.  Hopefully the enmatter run will go better!
