My last trip to CND reminded me of the way I used to play the game.  When I first started playing I had the grand design that I would be self sufficient.  Everything that I mined would be used for crafting until I got to a point where everything I crafted I could also use (either to mine with or to hunt).  Of course this was a very naive way of thinking and meant I just ran out of peds even quicker!

Now that I am back on the ground I thought i’d try the same way of playing again as a little experiment.  Now I know this has been done before by shackleton to name but one. (the mining part anyway) but I thought I would see how well I could get on.  Since I have begun getting the mining itch once again.  What I am going to do is buy 100 bombs.  Go out and use them all up.  Throw the ores found into storage.  Then I am going to get 100 probes and do the same.  I am going to be disciplined and not mine both at the same time.

Every resource I mine I will use to craft level 1 -4 components with (ones I don’t already have at qr 100).  Any resources that aren’t needed in any 1-4 component bps I will sell.  I will chronicle my mining and crafting trips and see how long the initial investment of 170ped lasts me. I’ve included 20ped for the cost of tt finders and extractors as a rough estimate.

A bit of an experiment?
